MPietropoli for What Italy Is
What Italy is for you?
Italy is a set of different cultures and extremely rich, often unknown to each other but incredibly interesting in their entirety. I don’t know if Italy is as foreigners often think about it (the aperitif, the Vespa, the Sun, eating) but it is also these things, is undeniable.
What place of our country do you actually prefer?
A place that I love is called Martino Asolo, in the lands from which the Dolomites arise. Its campaigns are still ordered like Romans did, slightly sloping, with regular rows of trees: these landscapes are as middle lands, not typically Italian as the extreme north side but not entirely Italian.
Tell me, in short, what does this picture means for you? The place, the people, your mood of that moment.
This photo was born like a joke. I’ve asked my son act like he was blowing and then i have taken the pic.
He likes joking and he is a perfect model. Especially when he can jump.
If this photo (taken in Dolomites) can represent Italy, represents the future: easier than today and represented by those who have not Italian somatics, mainly. My son (in this photo) is Vietnamese but Italian at the same time and he’s not able to imagine himself anything but Italian. Italy’s future is a land with ethnic groups mixed, unpredictable, that our grandparents could never have imagined. The contamination always give us the most unexpected and interesting results. The future will be very interesting, so.
